ACAC is a comprehensive community change initiative using community-based technology centers as a catalyst and adding other program activities as the organization matures. As an affiliate of the Community Technology Center Network, ACAC is able to access administrative and technical support through an association of over 1000 community technology centers located throughout the country. Community technology centers are generally described as community service, social action, and/or educational facilities where computers and related technology communications are available to people who otherwise might have little or no opportunity to use or learn to use these technologies.

ACAC is committed to providing technology access and offers opportunities for participants to improve their education levels, gain job-related skills and build personal and community capacity. As a neighborhood educational facility ACAC empowers individuals and groups of all ages to participate in developing their own learning as a means to improving their quality of life.
